30 exhibitors took part in another edition of the Job Fairs organized by the Career Service. Taking place in Auditorium Maximum, the fair was visited by about 1000 people. The opening ceremony was conducted by the Chancellor of the Jagiellonian University for didactics, Professor Armen Edigarian.
Job Fairs are a place where interested people can talk directly to the representatives of recruiting companies, enterprises and institutions. They can also get detailed information about employment opportunities, internship or apprenticeship, how to apply, working conditions, etc.
Exhibitors at the Jagiellonian University’s Job Fairs are major corporations, public administration bodies, governmental institutions and foundations. Visitors can consult their CVs, receive legal advice on labour Law, learn how to set up their own business, find out how to navigate the structures of the European Union and learn about opportunities for internships abroad within the Erasmus+ Internships Programme.
“On the one hand, the Job Fairs at the Jagiellonian University are attended by companies with which the Career Service cooperates on a daily basis in the organization of trainings, workshops, jubilees or other events. On the other hand, we try to invite to the Fairs companies and institutions that often in the opinion of students and graduates are desirable.” – Piotr Rapciak, Career Service.
On 11 April 2019, another edition of the Job Fairs organized by the Jagiellonian University’s Career Service was held in Auditorium Maximum. The event was part of the nationwide event "Game for Career – Career Service for You" and Education Quality Week. The Fairs were attended by over thirty exhibitors: private companies and state/local government institutions presenting job, internship and apprenticeship offers. Students visiting the auditorium had an opportunity to talk directly with employers, to consult their application documents – CVs and cover letters, while also obtaining information about the possibility of work for the EU.
